Deep Cover
In watching a detective show recently I was intrigued by this particular episode where the undercover cop had gotten so emerged in his disguise that his partner was afraid that he was crossing over.
In this television series the two cops go undercover in the midst of corruption. It reminded me of our Christian walk and how the word of God tells us that we live ‘in’ the world, but we are not ‘of’ the world. But in today’s society it is hard to tell the saints from the aints. Christ transforms us from the inside and he sets us apart from the world, but he does not take us out of the world. He fully expects us to take on everyday activities…working, family, fun…but there should be something different about us no matter how much we blend into the market place. Paul said, ‘I become all things to all men, so that I may win some.’ He was very clear about his undercover purpose. He understood that his main focus is to tell people about the Lord and lead them to Christ.
Are you deep undercover?—Are you so deep that no one knows you are a Christian. If you are not winning souls it could be that you have given in to the corruption of the world. Change starts now!

Pay now or pay later.

Nothing comes without cost. Even ignorance has a price. In health and wellness I always get people who say that they can’t afford my products. Don’t get me wrong, I understand financial set-backs and I work very hard to keep things affordable…but for some people, no matter what, they just don’t something for nothing. My response to their mindset is ‘you can pay now, or you can pay later’. Usually paying later will cost you far more than what you would have to give up now. Where health is concerned paying now is living a preventive lifestyle of healthy eating, exercise, and spiritual well being. Paying later is spending thousands on prescriptions to counter-act the side effects of the prescriptions that you are paying hundreds for. Where is the logic in that? It seems simple, but because of mindsets and mentalities very few people live a preventive lifestyle.
When you fill your days with things that gratify your fleshly appetite and neglect the spiritual responsibilities of taking care of your body, you will have to pay the price. Simple changes in your diet and lifestyle may cost you a little more each week, but it won’t compare to the medical bills that will take you a lifetime to pay after doctor visits resulting in prescriptions and counsel on eating right and getting more exercise. For me and my family, change starts now….when will change begin for you?

Life is a Journey.
Life is the only journey that we can take to get to eternity. For some the journey is quick. For some the journey is painful, and for some it is long and fulfilling.
It is inevitable that everyone that takes a breath on this side of eternity will take the journey, but how well you travel, and how long the road is—well that’s in part up to you. The bible tells us that our body is a temple. It is a dwelling place for the Holy Spirit. Anything that is holy, we understand to be sacred, so we reverence it. As believers we spend a lot of time focusing on keeping the inner-temple holy and acceptable to God, but we don’t spend nearly enough time taking care of the outer man. Somehow we have excused ourselves from those responsibilities because the inner man is eternal. But unfortunately unless we take care of our earthsuit, our journey on earth will be short-lived and we will not be able to do much for the kingdom.
So if your sole purpose on earth is to make sure that you are saved and going to heaven, then this isn’t for you. But if you want to do great things for God and you want your journey to be long lived, then you’re gonna need your earthsuit to help make that happen. You see—good eating and exercise habbits aren’t about just taking care of yourself, it’s about being the best you can be so that you can do a work for the kingdom! Life is a journey, travel the long road and take the scenic route. It will be worth it all.
